The new introduction unveiled a weaving of contemporary form with traditional references. The result is a collection with a refreshingly modern aesthetic, speaking to Garcia's remarkable talent and understanding of the craft of fine furniture making. The linear forms feature intricate design elements that make the pieces multi-dimensional and thoroughly unique.
Handcrafted in Italy, the Cassanova Table Lamp is a picture of understated elegance. Inspired by couture design, the lamp is fitted with a silk shade, its classic form outlined in a brass framework finished in Polished Chrome, and smartly topped with a Polished Chrome finial. The shade is suspended by a slender brass pole in Polished Chrome before terminating to a square slightly stepped base raised on small square feet.
The Castel Lounge Chair presents a chic silhouette expertly crafted for comfort. The chair has a tight, slightly bowed upholstered back and generous tight upholstered seat. The back and seat are set slightly in from the surrounding hardwood frame and rests on flared and tapered front and back legs. The chair can be upholstered in any Baker fabric or leather and comes standard in Baker Manor House finish, but is also available in the collection's Blanc finish upon request.
Inspired by a piece designed by Garcia for his Paris apartment, the Geisha End Table has a circle within square design that draws the eye and remarks on the exacting craftsmanship synonymous with Baker. The Black Lacquer cabinet is rendered from maple solids and decorated in flat cut maple veneers. It rests upon a metal base finished in Varnished Silver Leaf.
