Gloucestershire, England The Right Honourable The Earl of Wemyss and March As 12th century knights, this family battled for Kings of Scotland and paid homage to English kings. Now in more peaceful times, the present Lord Wemyss is a Knight of Scotland's most senior Order, The Thistle, and is the bearer of eight other lordly titles. He is a Royal Body Guard and Chairman of the Royal Commission of Ancient Monuments and Chairman of the Scottish Church Council. His son, Lord Neidpath, continues the family's tradition of royal duties as Page of Honour to Her Majesty the Queen Mother. Learn more about Stanway Learn more about Stanway (PDF Download) |
